Annual Mt. Vernon Walk for Diabetes

This Saturday, October 13th, the annual Mt. Vernon Walk for Diabetes will be held at Veteran's Park in Mt. Vernon.  Registration begins at 8:30 am at the Rolland Lewis Building.  The walk will start at 10 am and will end at noon.  To get more information on the event, please contact Jennifer Bass at 244-0508 or Dick Jones at 244-7775.     

New Diabetes Workshops Offered

There are two new Diabetes Self Management Program workshops scheduled for anyone interested in learning more on how to live a healthier life with diabetes. 

The first series of workshops will be held at C. E. Brehm Library beginning on Sept 27th from 2-4:30 p.m.  The second series of workshops will be held at Crossroads Hospital beginning on Nov 8th from 1:30-4:00 p.m.  The workshops are for 6 weeks and you must attend at least 4 of the workshops including one of the first two sessions to complete the program.
