Mt. Vernon- Health Department Responds to Budget Impasse    

In response to the state budget impasse, the Jefferson County Health Department will be closing on Fridays starting next week; thereby reducing hours of operation in an effort to avoid layoffs and continue providing services to the residents of Jefferson County.

 
Effective September 21, 2015, the Jefferson County Health Department will be open Monday through Thursday from 8:00 am - 12:00 pm and

12:30 pm – 4:00 pm each day.
